I was born and raised in bonnie Scotland. I emigrated to the United States and made California my home. I soon entered the Travel Industry and quickly became a cruise specialist. For 23 years I have created memories for thousands of clients!

When cruising, I am frequently approached by other passengers asking me for directions, questions regarding the ship etc. Happy to assist and direct them, I do so but advise “I don’t work on the ship”. “Well, you look like you do!” is the usual response. I guess this is an indication of where I belong.

I have seen many changes in the cruise industry - there are the high tech mega-liners, intimate riverboats for exploring the European countryside and luxury yachts to carry you to the exotic ports of the world! I am a certified specialist with Crystal Cruises, Cunard, Celebrity, Azamara, Silverseas, Regent Seven Seas, Princess Cruises and Holland America Line. To compliment my formal training, I visit, inspect and critique as many cruise ships as possible, so I can give you honest and detailed reports.

I have been in the cruise industry for 15 years. I specialize in groups on cruise ships and all that goes into the planning, including cocktail parties, birthday celebrations, family reunions, to whatever your imagination can create. Cruises are a lot of fun, and even more so when traveling with friends and family. The fun starts with finding the right ship for your group. And by that I mean, if it’s a dance club; then you need a ship that has numerous lounges with large dance floors. If it’s a business group; then you would need meeting space with audio and visual capabilities. If it’s a book club; you would need a quiet library. I usually cruise about 3-4 times a year with my groups as needed. I go along to help the client with the group and to be sure everyone is having the best time possible. I also put a lot of research into the different ports of call so that I can assist the client with planning group shore excursions. I take every opportunity to do ship inspections and taking various cruise line training programs to increase my knowledge, as new ships are coming out yearly. For most of my adult life I have owned a sailboat and spent many hours “floating around” on the ocean. I just never understood how wonderful that experience could be if you had a whole staff of a cruise ship catering to your every need. I love cruising- years ago I found MY inner pirate and have enjoyed being at sea ever since! There is something about the sea air that brings out the best in me, maybe it will for you too. I used to sail in regattas years ago, but since then I enjoy sailing for pleasure. The wind in the sails is magical and very romantic. I enjoy riding horses on as many cruise vacations that offer such an excursion, it truly is a completely different view of a destination, whether I am up in the gorgeous mountains of Moorea, French Polynesia, on the beach on Cabo San Lucas, Mexico or in Alaska, I always enjoy riding. Which also ties in to the romantic side of the vacation as my prince charming (AKA my husband Jake) usually rides along side of me. We enjoy sunsets on the deck of a ship, having cocktails in intimate lounges and going for couple’s treatments at the ships spa. We also enjoy the social aspect of a cruise; we stay in touch with at least 1 person from each cruise we have been on. (20 plus cruises) Since we are both musicians we appreciate the talent of those working on the ships and many times we get up and play with them. We have made many friends that way and the other passengers get a kick out of it too. We enjoy shopping for different drums in interesting countries and adding them to our collection.
