AMA Waterways river cruise ships
Started in 2002 as a deluxe river cruise company, AMA offers a long list of amenities many other river cruise companies don't.  With its contemporary artwork in the lobbies or inviting hallways, AMA river ships provide a warm and welcoming home away from home. The style and amenities onboard are comparable to what one can find in a 5-star hotel ashore.

AMA Waterways' vessels all feature French balconies, so you can open your full length glass door and let Europe in. The newest boats will have the largest balconies, large enough for two persons to sit outside.

Cabins are larger than on many other river cruises, and are elegantly appointed. Meeting the needs of customers, AMA Waterways' newest ships will have among the largest standard cabins. An infotainment system in every cabin allows you to watch television or send email from your cabin. Free WiFi is available.

Bathrooms on AMA's newest ships are perhaps the most luxurious on river cruise ships, featuring glassed-in showers and three shower heads.

For those requiring more space, junior suites are available with sitting area and larger bathrooms with bathtubs as well as showers.

AMA's river cruise ships also have an elevator, sun deck with a walking track, whirlpool, and up to 25 complimentary bicycles for your use.

Dining is a highlight, and includes a five course open seating dinner served a la carte with wines, beers and cappucinos included. Breakast is a complete buffet service, while lunch is either buffet or sit down featuring hot and cold dishes. A local folk troupe or quartet may provide the evening's entertainment onboard.

We had docked in Cologne, right up against a broad promenade along the Rhine, and I could practically reach out my sliding glass door and touch the pedestrians and bicyclists passing by. However, I opted to enjoy an espresso onboard before venturing out to the bustling sidewalk. This is river cruising at its most delightful..."
