Ama Waterways: Luxury River Cruises in Europe, Russia and Southeast Asia

Started in 2002 as a deluxe river cruise company, AMA Waterways offers amenities many other river cruise companies don't.  With its fine decor, AMA provides a warm and welcoming "home away from home." Ama Waterways' ships have Free WiFi, an elevator, sun deck with a walking track, whirlpool, and complimentary bicycles. Catering to discerning travelers, Ama Waterways' cabins are larger than on many other river cruises, and elegantly appointed. All feature French balconies, so you can open your full length glass door. On the newest ships, balconies are large enough for two persons to sit outside, while bathrooms are perhaps the most luxurious of any river cruise ships, featuring glassed-in showers and three shower heads. For those requiring more space, junior suites are available with a sitting area and larger bathrooms featuring bathtubs as well as showers.

On AMA Waterways' newest ships, like AmaVerde, staterooms are even larger and feature twin balconies (one French and one with outdoor seating), and feature a separate bathtub and shower. The ships also feature an alternative dining restaurants for Italian cuisine and a Chef's Table featuring a tasting menu paired with wines (included).

Dining on AmaWaterways is a highlight, and includes a five course open seating dinner served a la carte with wines, beers, soft drinks and cappucinos included. Breakast is a complete buffet service, while lunch is either buffet or sit down featuring hot and cold dishes.

AmaWaterways offers itineraries from 9 to 30 nights in length on the AmaDagio, AmaDolce, AmaLyra, AmaCello AmaDante, AmaLegro, AmaBella, and the AmaVerde, which represents a new design featuring twin balconies and two main restaurants, plus a Chef's Table venue and Wine Room. Cruise the Rhine River, with its castles every mile, or visit the great towns and charming valleys along the Danube River, or perhaps the wine country of Portugal cruising on the Douro River on the AmaDouro.
