River Cruising On The Nile River & More
The most popular cruises in Africa are Nile River cruises in Egypt. There are over 300 Nile River cruise boats, of varying quality, and our river cruise experts would be pleased to guide you on your choice and arrange an appropriate Nile River cruise to enjoy. Egypt is an amazing trip, but not an easy trip: there's usually a good deal of walking and the weather is hot, so exploring Egypt's treasures with a river cruise is far more comfortable.

There are two areas in which to cruise in Egypt: the lower Nile river (between Aswan and Cairo), and Lake Nasser (between Aswan and Abu Simbel). Both offer very different views of the country.

Other than Egypt, shorter river cruises are also being offered on the Zambesi River. 

Cruising the African Coast
Visits to other African ports may be included on world cruises, and occasionally ocean-going cruise lines offer itineraries that include African ports of call. These can include Mediterranean cruises that include one or two ports in North Africa, or cruises that may visit ports on Africa's eastern, western or southern coasts.

For those that want to truly experience Africa, however, we recommend a land package before or after your cruise, particularly to visit Kenya and Tanzania in East Africa, or South Africa and the neighboring countries of Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and/or Zambia.
