Is Cunard Line For You?
Cunard Cruises appeals to sophisticated world travelers that enjoy traditional service and style with British flair on large ships. It is the only cruise line offering different classes of dining depending on stateroom category booked. In our view Cunard is one of the
luxury cruise lines when booking higher stateroom categories, and more comparable to an upper
premium cruise line in lower categories.
Step aboard a Cunard Liner
Relive the Golden Age of Ocean Travel's fabled White Star Service updated with a contemporary flair, while maintaining the very best of British traditions. These include the "Best Onboard Educational Program": live theatrical performances by members of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and intellectual stimulation from guest lecturers, many affiliated with Oxford University, in the fields of history, world affairs, science, the arts and literature.
Other notables include white-gloved afternoon tea service, fish and chips at the onboard pub, the Veuve Clicquot Champagne Bar and Canyon Ranch SpaClub. Listen to jazz in the Chart Room, or attend the Classic Captain's Black and White Ball.
Cunard's new Queen Elizabeth
Built in the spirit of the legendary Cunard ships that precede her, the newest Queen Elizabeth is a worthy successor to her namesake, with a design and ambience that recalls the age of grand transatlantic ocean liners.
Enjoy paddle tennis, croquet and traditional British bowls on a green on the canopy-covered Games Deck. And as on other Cunard liners, there's formal afternoon tea service, ballroom dancing in the Queen's Room, and evening fare in the Royal Court Theatre.
Transatlantic Voyages
Cunard is most noted for maintaining an extensive series of Transatlantic cruises between New York and London. These are six-day crossings that provide for a wonderful cruise experience, and the opportunity to enjoy all that's offered onboard.
Cunard Dining
It's important to understand that the main dining venues guests are assigned to is based on their stateroom category.
The two-storey Britannia Restaurant serves two seatings for most stateroom categories. For guests with accommodations in Princess Suites or Queen Suites, however, premium single-seating dining is provided in the exclusive and intimate Princess and Queen Grills, which offer some of the best fine dining at sea. Concierge service is also available to all suite guests.
Specialty dining options available to all guests include the Mediterranean cuisine of Boston's star chef, Todd English. Plus, the Golden Lion Pub serves up fish and chips, curries and traditional pub dishes in an authentic-looking English pub setting. Lido Deck dining offers breakfast and lunch during the day, and converted to different themed restaurant venues at night.
Cunard Insights Program
Cunard has always appealed to travelers keen on broadening their intellectual horizons. The Cunard Insights is the line's enrichment program, providing guests often rare opportunities to interact with acclaimed experts and prominent luminaries through lectures, question-and-answer sessions, debates, social gatherings and workshops.
