A Hobbit’s Journey

The Hobbit's Journey package is for the fan that can only spare the two weeks of the cruise, but wants to see and experience as much LOTR activities as possible. This package consists of:
-- the full 14-night Celebrity Cruises voyage
-- a cocktail reception for our group
-- the full package of LOTR themed day tours, and
-- to commemorate the Journey, an Exclusive ‘Passport to Middle earth’.

LOTR themed day tours*
These are the filming locations that can be reached from the ship each day when it docks. These tours will need to be purchased in advance and are available on a first-come, first-served basis:

November 24- Hobbiton (from Tauranga).
Includes coach transport, guiding, entry fee, shearing demonstration and BBQ lunch at The Shires Restaurant.
$175 USD, per person, purchased individually.

November 27 – From Wellington
The group will drive past the studios; find the 'Get off the road site'; visit The Chocolate Fish cafe; the Cloak Factory; Helms Deep/Minas Tirith; and Rivendell. We may be able to add Bree.
$125 USD, per person, purchased individually.

November 28- Edoras, ex Lyttleton, Christchurch: Cost includes coach transport, guiding, entry fee and Brett Beattie to accompany us. As you are aware, he was Gimli for 189 days on set, working closely with Viggo and Orlando. John Rhys Davies was only on set for 30 days in half costume. People can buy their lunch from a bakery en route.
$225 USD, per person, purchased individually.

* For anyone purchasing the Hobbit’s Journey package, the combined price for these three tours will be reduced to $500 (a 5% savings).

Prices shown are per person, based on double occupancy for reservations made prior to August 1, 2008.* For families or 3rd person added to a stateroom, call us for availability and accurate pricing. Pricing is for the cruise plus reduced rate for LOTR-themed excursions, with all taxes and port charges included. (Airfare is additional),

* Rate increase if booked after August 1, 2008: $50.00 per person

There are additional cabin categories available on the ship not shown above, both higher categories and lower categories, so there are other pricing options, subject to availability at time of booking.
