While there used to very few choices for world cruises, today there are a growing number of world cruises from various cruise lines available. World cruise have become so popular that prime staterooms sell out instantly once they go on sale. It's best to plan at least a year in advance.
Cruise lines operating world cruise itineraries include luxury cruise lines Crystal Cruises, Cunard Line, which began the tradition in 1922, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Seabourn, Silversea Cruises, premium cruise lines like Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, P&O Line, and most rececently, Cruise West.
Typically, a full world cruise itinerary is just over 100 days in length, and most commence in January. For those that prefer something less than the full world cruise itinerary, each world cruise voyage is available in shorter segments, and any of these is also a special experience.
