Onboard Silver Cloud and Silver Wind, major upgrades are updating these fine vessels, including new bathrooms, furnishings, and flat-screen TVs. An ocean-view spa and fitness center is being added, along with an Observation Lounge and new guest elevator.

There is no assigned dining time and no assigned tables. Dine when, where and with whom you wish. The Viking Cooking School program includes cooking demonstrations in a culinary theater with an induction stove, convection-microwave oven and a rear projection screen. Culinary courses, featuring the regional cuisines of places visited on the ship's itineraries, are presented by Viking chefs on select cruises.

Select voyages include a Silversea Experience, a complimentary shoreside event or an excursion exclusively arranged for guests.

A new program called Privileged Passage on select voyages will cater to a hipper crowd and do away with formal nights and receptions, extend the hours for the fitness center and spa, offer a selection of complimentary tours and include more casual-style entertainment featuring contemporary bands, jazz ensembles and shows by disc jockeys from around the world.

Each Silversea ship offers one of the more reasonable single fare supplements, starting at 25% above double occupancy fares. Onboard, a welcoming Champagne Reception is held exclusively for solo guests. Silversea Social Ambassadors onboard can serve as a dinner, dance or shore excursion companion.
