Dining tables are beautifully set with Rosenthal and Bvlgari china and Riedel stemware, all presented on starched Frette linens. Staggered "As You Wish" dining times ensures better table service, though traditional seating is also available. Holland America Cruise Line’s Culinary Arts Center features a full show kitchen with large plasma screens.Through hands-on classes and demonstrations, participants can work with culinary experts in a relaxed, entertaining atmosphere.

Club Hal's extended hours, from 10pm to midnight, allows parents to enjoy an "evening out" while their children are looked after by full-time counselors onboard. For teens aged 13 to 17, Holland America has created The Loft, a teen space not unlike an artist's loft in New York, and The Oasis, a secluded outdoor teen deck area with a one-of-a-kind waterfall and cave.
